Joyful Journey Preschool

Providing developmentally appropriate Christian learning experiences for young children.

Originally founded by the members of the congregation, Joyful Journey Preschool has been an integral part of MPC since the beginnings of the church. It continues to be an on-site program for relationships with families and young children in our valley.

From August through May, Monday through Thursday, up to 60 children share our buildings to learn, create, discover and worship. MPC has an ongoing relationship with the parents, teachers and students, as church members serve on the JJP Board, parents cooperate with the Operation Christmas Child project, worship opportunities are developed for adults and children (through VBS), and future volunteer projects are in the works.

Some examples of ways to get involved

Pray for the School

Both the teachers and parents need our prayer support in these times when raising and educating a young child can be full of conflict, confusion and stress.

Donate Bibles to the graduates in May

It has been a tradition for MPC to donate Bibles to the school graduates each year, as a way of knowing that the church values each child and their ongoing Christian education. A sticker placed inside of each Bible states that it was provided by MPC.

Volunteer to help in the classroom

Teachers will communicate potential classroom needs as the school year begins and progresses. A classroom helper could be beneficial, or you could have a specialty skill (art, storytelling, dance, music) that may be able to be incorporated into a lesson plan.
