Councils and Heresies, The earliest Christians experienced something amazing in Jesus and quickly communities of belief sprang up all over the Roman Empire. But as Christianity spread, many different interpretations formed about Jesus and God. For the next 400 years, the early Church debated these interpretations - declaring some doctrine to be heresy and others doctrine to be orthodox. This class will explore a different early 'heresy' each week and ask how these doctrines might still be relevant for today.
