The purpose of encountering Jesus and being shaped by Jesus is to be sent by Jesus. We are called to be people who love and serve the world just as Christ loved and served the world. As a church, we offer opportunities to serve inside and outside the congregation. Inside the congregation, we serve one another through compassion ministries such as Stephens Ministry and Care Teams. But we are also distinctly called to serve the world outside the church wall. Therefore, we will offer regular mission opportunities to the congregation. The goal is to have every member be actively and deeply engaged with at least one mission partner. There are various ways to get involved – from praying to weekly engagement – but the point is that following Jesus leads to serving the world in love.
