Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working with local

communities in all 50 states in US and approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s

vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. They work toward

their vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with

families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build

their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.

We as Christians seek to serve as Jesus commanded us to do. One way is to help those who have never had a home acquire one. Those acquiring a home from Habitat are required to have stable jobs, work building their home and attend classes on finances, conflict resolution, and being a good neighbor.
