Communion
Want to be involved at MPC but short on time? Serving communion is a simple and meaningful way to help. The only requirement is that you’re a member of MPC. It’s easy, rewarding, and a wonderful way to connect with friends and newcomers as you serve the Lord’s Supper.
Call Patti Togashi at 970-260-2260.
Bell Choir
The Monument Ringers is MPC's own English Handbell choir. We practice on Wednesday afternoons at 3:15 for one hour and perform the prelude and offertory during the Sunday church service once a month Sept. through May-summers off. No previous bell experience is required but some type of musical background and reading music helps. Please contact Mary Davenport at 970-216-0556 if interested or with questions. We have many more bells that could be played by expanding the choir and would be happy to have you!!

Children and Youth Ministries

Sunday School
Weekly Sunday school for children 5 years through 5th grade. It is a place for children to experience Jesus and grow in faith with age-appropriate lessons. Children are dismissed for Sunday School after the 'Time with the Children'.  Class is located in the annex building behind the sanctuary.  Games, music, stories and crafts are offered.
Sunday Nursery or Toddler Care
Located in the first classroom on the left directly off the narthex and the last classroom on the right. Nursery is open during the entire worship service. Children are welcome to join prior to service beginning, after "Time with the Children", or at any other time during service.  Children aged infant through 5 years welcome.
Elementary 3, 4, 5 Events
Meet once a month creating fellowship, connections, & bonding experiences.
Youth Group
Meets weekly on Sunday evenings for fellowship, food and growing together in Christ.

Compassion Ministries

CAREA
Mesa County has been divided into six geographic areas, called Care Areas (CAREA).  The CAREAs take turns, monthly, serving goodies during Fellowship Hour each Sunday after worship.  They also provide meals for families in our church in times of illness and death and serve food for dinners/luncheons after funeral services at our church.
Care Team
This team of caring individuals makes sure no one in the church is forgotten or left out during their times of need, during a loss, medical need, or if they do not have the ability to leave their home.  The team responds to needs by sending cards, making home visits, phone calls, and hospital visits,
Stephen's Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a worldwide ministry that involves training lay people, within our congregation, to walk along-side people in the community, who are dealing with a loss or a transition in their life.   MPC’s Stephen Ministry program has been a part of this church since its beginning.
Grief Share
Grief Share is offered worldwide.  It is nondenominational and features Biblical concepts for healing from grief.  It is designed for help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend.  A warm, caring environment is offered weekly over a 12-week period.

Other Ways To Serve

Missions
The Mission Team ensures that MPC remains a missional church -- one that exists not only for its own edification, but for those outside the church who need compassion, support and the message of Christ.  At our monthly meetings, volunteers make decisions on how to distribute the thousands of dollars from the MPC mission budget, and also plan opportunities for church members to engage in service and outreach.
Buildings and Grounds Committee
Help facilitate and make decisions concerning the maintenance of our property, including the church building and the church grounds. General building & ground skills recommended.
Community Outreach Planning Committee
Help plan and cultivate regular opportunities for church members to engage with the wider community, both “outreach” and “in-reach” opportunities.
Church Landscape Project
This volunteer project is for any folks who love to dig in the dirt and make flowers bloom. It takes a village to keep our plants thriving the weeds at bay and plants watered throughout the summer and beyond. Contact Monica Kraynek (412-760-2471) if you would like to serve!
