Monument Presbyterian Church is prayerfully seeking a Director of Worship

to help lead the church in the style of “Modern Hymns”

Our Mission

Together, we encounter Jesus, are shaped by His Love, and sent in His Name.

Our Church & Vision for Worship

Monument Presbyterian Church is a vibrant and growing church in The Redlands area of Grand Junction, CO. As our mission states, our goal is to encounter, be shaped by, and be sent in Jesus’ name. We are excited by the ways the Spirit is working and believe God has good things in store for our church.

We also believe that musical worship plays a vital role in our spiritual formation. Songs get into our mind and consciousness in a unique way. Often, we cannot remember the details of a sermon a week later. But we can sing the melodies and recite the lyrics of a song for generations. Songs aren’t just worship to God - they teach us the basics of our theology and belief.

As a reformed Presbyterian church, we value the deep theology of many traditional hymns - yet we don’t want to simply live in the past. Our vision is to sing the best of the classic hymns of the past in an updated style while also learning new, contemporary songs that reflect our commitment to deep theology and scriptural truth. This vision is what we are calling “modern hymns.”

The goal is to sing songs of praise with theological depth – whether that be a revamping a classic hymn with modern styling or introducing new, contemporary songs with theological weight.
